Join us this Doors Open Days weekend for a short talk exploring the historic roots of the Physic Garden at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, together with a brief history exploring just some of the many lives of the fascinating Abbey Strand building.
These free talks will be held on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September in the Physic Garden at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm, with a limited capacity for each talk.
Children can take a special trail to help explore the special spaces and stories Physic Garden. Unfortunately the Abbey Strand building itself will not be accessible to the public. For refreshments, the Palace café just across the road is accessible without a Palace ticket and has toilet facilities.

The Georgian House will be open for free to Doors Open Days visitors on Sunday 26th September from 10am to 3pm (last admission).
Numbers will be strictly limited to 8 people every 15 minutes. Pre-booking via the link below is essential.

The Grange Cemetery is always open daily from 0900-1700.
For Doors Open Days 2021 information will be provided for visitors and volunteers from the Friends of Grange Cemetery who will be present on Saturday 25th Saturday 25th from 1pm-5pm and on Sunday 26th September from 11am-5pm to answer any queries you may have.
Self-guided tours will be available with information about some notable burials and some interesting trees to be found in the Cemetery.

Newhailes will be open for self-guided tours for the first time ever this Doors Open Days 2021.
Come and explore the public rooms and the behind the scenes areas on Saturday 25th September and Sunday 26th September between 10am and 4pm. Pre-booking via the link below is essential.

Dunbar Town House will be open to Doors Open Days visitors from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September 2021.
We will be providing guided tours of the venue at selected times each afternoon. We will also have children’s activities based on the clock and sundials on the outside of the building.

McArthur’s Store will be open to Doors Open Days visitors on both Saturday 25th September and Sunday 26th September from 2pm to 4pm. Members of the Dunbar Harbour Trust will be in attendance to answer questions.
