The Grange Cemetery is always open daily from 0900-1700.

For Doors Open Days 2021 information will be provided for visitors and volunteers from the Friends of Grange Cemetery who will be present on Saturday 25th Saturday 25th from 1pm-5pm and on Sunday 26th September from 11am-5pm to answer any queries you may have.

Self-guided tours will be available with information about some notable burials and some interesting trees to be found in the Cemetery.

The ground floor and newly renovate garden of our building at 49 Albany Street will be open to visitors on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of September from 10am to 4pm. We will be following all government guidance relevant to Covid-19.

There will be several artworks by Deaf Artists on display in the chapel and refreshments will be on offer in our garden.

We’ll open the Corstorphine Astoria Centre from 12pm to 4pm on Sunday 26th September 2021 and our organist will play at various intervals during the day.

Due to the size of the venue (a large open hall), we will safely be able to accommodate a number of visitors – as much as 140 at one time if no COVID restrictions are in place. Visitors are requested to wear masks while inside the hall.

We will be providing guided tours of the venue at selected times each afternoon. We will also have children’s activities based on the clock and sundials on the outside of the building.

We will open for 20-25 minute in-person visits between 10am and 11.55am on Sunday 26th September.

Session 1: from 10am to 10.25am – Session 2: from 10.30am to 10.55am – Session 3: 11am to 11.25am and Session 4: from 11.30am to 11.55am.

Sessions can be booked at the link below or you can drop in and join if space allows. The Q & A session will take place in a gazebo outside the box. Please dress for the weather. In the event of a yellow weather warning- the event is likely to be cancelled. Any government COVID regulations in place at the time such as social distancing and mask-wearing will be adhered to. Visitors will be asked to sanitise their hands before entering the police box.

There are currently tram works on Leith walk so please check traffic diversions and bus routes before you travel.

On Sunday 26th September, we plan to open the gates from 9am till 5pm and to have music, art and refreshments from 12pm till 4pm. There is a children’s play park and dogs are welcome on a lead.

Music will be provided by the Edinburgh Gaelic Choir and local band We Travel in Hope. Up to ten community artists will sell their work at stalls and we will have on sale individually wrapped cakes/biscuits and tea/coffee.

There are no toilet facilities in the garden. There are public toilets in Stockbridge, but we cannot guarantee these will be open. There’s not much shelter in the garden, so if it rains – bring umbrellas!
