Craigmillar Castle Park Cemetery

Edinburgh’s newest principal cemetery, the 15 acre Craigmillar Castle Park Cemetery, off Old Dalkeith Road, was officially opened by Provost George Grubb at a multi-faith and secular ceremony of dedication in 2009.

Its name was chosen from a list submitted and voted on by members of the public and it is intended to operate for fifty years in total, with space for around 5000 interments.

Edinburgh Council Parks and Cemeteries department and Captured Realities have produced the immersive 360° tour of the Cemetery below that allows you to enjoy a virtual visit, viewing the different sections of this contemporary and working graveyard, servicing all of Edinburgh’s citizens, of many different faiths and none.
