The Patrick Geddes India Scotland Talks

An exciting free public event presenting guest speakers from India, France and Scotland + a short Indo/Scottish film and an introduction to a sale and selection of rare contemporary books about Geddes and the many projects he has inspired and undertaken with his family.
Celebrated by Darwin, Ruskin, Tagore and Narayani Gupta; the influence of Geddessian ideas has been significant to this day. During the event we will be informed of a major urban renewal project in Delhi, ecological studies in Kolkata at the Botanical Gardens and how a historic Farm in Edinburgh has been transformed by Geddesian concepts and community inspiration into a multi-faceted Social Resource Centre.
