Looking for an alternative Festival Fringe event? We’re inviting you to channel your inner Cockburn and join us for a free online Cockburn Conversation about the future of Edinburgh and its communities.
The Council’s City Plan 2040 will help shape how Edinburgh develops over the coming years, influencing where and how new development takes place and how the city responds to challenges including housing, climate change, transport, heritage and the quality of our neighbourhoods.
Alongside this, The National Conversation is a UK-wide initiative inviting people to talk about what they value about community life, their experiences of the places where they live, and the kind of communities they want to build for the future.
Bringing these two conversations together gives us an opportunity to think not only about how Edinburgh should develop, but what kind of city and communities we want that development to create and sustain.
What do you value about the places where you live? What makes a good neighbourhood? And what should Edinburgh look and feel like in 2040?
