Sat, 13 Jun 2026, 13:30

Talk and Exhibition Tour, Jill Harrison and Hetty Lancaster

The fifteenth-century is when Edinburgh emerged as the nation’s capital, developing into a royal, religious, and economic hub but what was it like to live in? Discover who was walking through the streets when the Trinity Church was being built and what they saw as they went about their daily lives. Learn about the role of different spaces around the Burgh and what activities shaped the weeks and months of the year.

After each talk there is an opportunity to visit the exhibition with the speaker and weather permitting, the courtyard, to see some of the fascinating Trinity Stones.

Please note that talks take place in the Museum of Edinburgh’s lecture room which can only be accessed via three flights of stairs.

This event is part of the Reviving the Trinity Stones Exhibition. A fully-accessible, free exhibition located on the ground floor of the Museum of Edinburgh from 9th May – 28th June 2026.
