The Causey Development Trust

The Causey sits in the Southside Conservation area and covers West Crosscauseway from Nicolson Street to Chapel Street and Buccleuch Street, including the traffic island area.

Since 2007 Causey Development Trust, a volunteer led Edinburgh charity, has worked with local people to transform The Causey into a welcoming, accessible, public space that everyone can enjoy.

The aim of the Trust is to transform the redundant traffic island and immediate area into an attractive, unified public space, reinforcing its historic triangular shape and drawing attention to its surrounding historic buildings.

This film presents the Causey Development Trust’s work and aspirations for this little corner of Edinburgh.
