Buro Happold are excited to be opening their office on Bread Street for Doors Open Days on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September from 10am to 5pm and look forward to meeting some of you there.

Buro Happold is a global practice of engineers, consultants and advisers. Buro Happold’s Edinburgh office is entered from the tenements on Bread street and housed in a former printworks. They will be displaying current and recent work and letting visitors try out their Virtual Reality kit.

Buro Happold’s Urban C:Lab recently ran a design sprint on Edinburgh’s Relationship to the Sea as part of the Academy of Urbanism’s 2021 Edinburgh Congress. This work sought to rethink Edinburgh’s relationship with the Sea, using the opportunities, and addressing the challenges, that its coastal position offers. Groups produced some bold, ambitious and radical ideas, with proposals including turning Edinburgh’s ring road into a canal, creating a Nordic Float Festival, and even connecting Edinburgh and Glasgow! Buro Happold would like to use this opportunity to share these with a wider audience. There will be an opportunity to complete a survey on some of these ideas as they would really like to understand your views on the proposals.

If you can’t make it along in person, you can visit our social media channels, YouTube channel or website or watch the short video below where you can learn more about Buro Happold’s office and the work they do.
