Rubus spectabilis (Salmonberry) is a naturalised neophyte in the British Isles, having been brought here from North America in 1827 by the Scottish Botanist David Douglas. It was first recorded in the wild in 1874 and is now found in many parts of Scotland, especially around Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
