What structures can the Climate Action Forum put in place to support, engage and collectively drive community-led retrofit?
This question is being addressed by the Edinburgh Climate Forum and EVOC at an informal lunchtime discussion on 26th October 2022. It is crucially important both to the well-being of residents and to the achievement of Edinburgh carbon neutrality targets.
The discussion will explore what structures could be established both locally in neighbourhoods and at scale to cover across the city which can enable community-led retrofit in Edinburgh as well as deliver on Community Wealth Building and Just and Equitable Transition outcomes.
The Edinburgh Climate Forum invites any group interested in buildings, community assets, home energy and heating or housing please come along!
Keynote Speakers will be:
• Joanne McClelland (Conservation Accredited Architect RIBA RIAS ARB, Chair of Edinburgh Architectural Association and Founder/ Director of EALA Impacts) and;
• Aythan Lewes Chartered Building Surveyor MRICS (Director of EALA Impacts)
The focus will also be on hearing community stories, experiences, and suggestions for how retrofit can be done better in Edinburgh, and how EVOC can help.
This event will take place on Zoom.
