The Foule Burn, Tuesday 20 September, 6.30 pm, in The Crannie, Cranston Street. Talk by Clive Waghorn, retired naval engineer with an interest in the early history of Edinburgh’s water supplies. In the 19th century, every Edinburgh burn was ‘foule’; this talk will concentrate on one particular burn, now hidden. Hybrid event, tickets £7, guests welcome.
