Historian Norah Carlin, who studied the Witch Trials and was motivated to learn about those killed in Corstorphine in particular, where she grew up. And Emma Cowan, who was inspired Norah’s work twenty years later and launched the campaign to have those who were killed as witches in Corstorphine properly remembered with a plaque funded by the Corstorphine Trust. Finally, we will have public engagement event Women Behind the Witches which encourages the public to consider how to remember and memorialize Scotland’s accused witches through community co-design.
