Edinburgh: Venice of the North?

Monday 24 January, 6.30 pm, by Zoom

Edinburgh is known as the Athens of the North, not Venice.  But Edinburgh does have buildings influenced by the architecture of Venice and the Veneto countryside as will be shown in this virtual walk across the Old Town to the New Town led by retired town planner Gordon McFarlane, previously in Edinburgh Council’s conservation planning team, a member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and a New Town Guide.

This online event is free to Edinburgh Old Town Association members.  Non-members may attend if a donation of at least £5.00 for each event has been made.  Donate online via the link below, giving your details at the time of donation, and the OTA will send you the link to join the talk.
