Download a Standing Order mandate if you would like to set up a regular donation.
Alternatively, cheques (made payable to 'The Cockburn Association') can be sent to: The Cockburn Association, Trunk’s Close, 55 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1SR
If you earn a salary or, if your pension is paid via PAYE, you can donate directly from your pre-tax salary so money that would normally go to the taxman goes to support the Cockburn Association instead. Give As You Earn is available to everyone who pays UK Income Tax and works for a UK employer. Some employers have a match scheme and will match or even double the donation.
For the Cockburn Association donating through Give As You Earn enables us to plan our work more effectively. It benefits you as you do not pay any tax on the donations you make. For example, a gift of £5 to the Cockburn Association through Give As You Earn will only cost you £4 if you pay the basic rate of tax. If you pay the higher rate of tax a gift of £5 will only cost you £3.
Give As You Earn is very flexible - you can give as much or as little as you like and change how much you give whenever you want. If your employer already operates a Give As You Earn scheme you can let your payroll department know that you would like to participate and make donations to The Cockburn Association (The Edinburgh Civic Trust), registered Scottish charity No. SC011544.
Leaving a legacy to the Cockburn Association ensures that we can continue caring for the City of Edinburgh today and tomorrow. It is a gift which will protect and enhance our architectural heritage, green and civic spaces beyond our own lifetimes.
